I had memories of French Kiss by Lil’ Luis. I am in a similar mode of returning to or at least being inspired by 90s sound and workflow.

I have a really old Maschine Mikro, the one with the single LCD screen on it, just wondering if the new Maschine 2.0 software update will work with it, Native Instruments do state on their website that the Maschine 2.0 software is compatible with all versions of the Maschine hardware, I just want to be 100% sure because I'm interested in buying a full copy of the software, and it's going to cost me about Au$220.00 or so.

Danny can you recommend a solid multipurpose vst work horse please? I know it's probably subjective and you use many vst but what could you not live with out?

i really need to get to a point where i have a sample pack or vst that i always use for drums, so i feel confident that the sound quality is always on point

i just wish i could get my drums to sound close to tracks released, they just seem to lack something and i believe if the drums dont hit the track cant hit either

The sound comes up too loud too quick, when you stop talking vor a very short time.

Would love to see more breakdown videos like this Danny, but any chance of some more tutorial videos in particular in making beats (drums) like this from scratch, swing settings, effects, etc, in Ableton as this is the part I sometimes I have trouble with getting to sound good?

Great video, I can definitely understand that type of work flow.. Recently I did the same, I even rolled back my Mac OS to be able to use my older purchased software and staying away from A.I. I feel it makes you lazy.. it's helpful to regain that patience of creating more basic tracks. Namaste 🙏

What I like about this is how few tracks there are. That's how it was back then. Limited hardware meant number of limited tracks. Modern DAWs make it too easy to go way way overboard!

Wish more people would use waveform. All I see is abelton, logic or fruit sadly I'm retarded n can't use them lol. Wave forms UI is a lot simpler for me.

Hi Danny! Are you finished with Cubase? Looks like you are using Abelton for the most part now. Would be cool if you did a video explaining why you changed DAWs. Pros and cons with abelton vs cubase etc. Anyway, I love your tutorials and breakdowns!

Thank you so much, for instructing me on how to open the cassette. That allowed me to respool a cassette I had to manually take out of my PCM-R700. unfortunately I have the CAUTION. 😢 But I'm going to continue on working on figuring it out.
